I had a car accident over 2 years ago due to a car pulling out in front of me.
I have had to have treatment over the passed 2 years including surgery due to the injuries.
I have been offered a settlement however according to my barrister this is below the average and she thinks I should come back with a counter offer of the average amount.
Do you think I should make a counter offer slightly higher than the average to enable me to get the money I deserve or do you think it is just best to counter offer the recommended value?
Hope this makes sense im not sure how counter offers etc work
Thanks in advance

Well, you posted to the USA board, so you get a USA answer, sorry!
I think since you’re paying your barrister good money, you need to follow her advice.
