How long do collection agencies keep trying to collect their money and especially if you are homeless?

by admin on September 13, 2010

The reason I am asking is because I also have a personal injury case which might go to trial in a year or so. How long will the collection agencies keep checking to find me and see if I have any assets — because I will have funds once I settle the claim against the people that caused the accident. I want to know if the collection agencies simply stop trying to collect at some point (even though they have all reported on my credit).

The only way a collection agency makes money is to recover money and take their portion so they will keep looking for the debts they have been assigned to!

if you tell them you have cash coming they
collection companys collect on a percentage..of what they get and are relentless if they know they are being paid.. as they get a percentage off what they collect..

if you deal directly with who you need to pay..and ask them..what they will discount..and keep all your receipts..

now…. that being said… that is you looking after this..
pick out who you want to pay..and call them direct..and make arrangements..
they have discounted the dollars already by using a collection company
also with all your credit ruined… is bankruptcy an option?
